Sigmundskron Castle
One of the most historic symbols of South Tyrol. It was
cited as early as 945 AD as the site of a military episode
between noblemen from north and south of the Alps. In the
1950s it was the site of the landmark demonstration for
South Tyrol autonomy.
The famous alpinist Reinhold Messner the 11th of June 2006 opened the mountain museum MMM Firmiano.
